The Faculty of Philosophy and the Faculty of Psychology and Cognitive Sciences at Adam Mickiewicz University, Poznan hereby invites proposals for presentations at the seventh Conference on Philosophy in Informatics. The theme for this year’s conference will be the basic principles of the philosophy of computing and information, and it will take place on December 2–3, 2022 in both virtual and in-person form.

The first conference in this series was hosted by the Warsaw University of Technology in 2015, with the subsequent year’s instance being held at the Faculty of Philosophy at the Pontifical University of John Paul II, Cracow. The third conference was organized by the Adam Mickiewicz University, Poznan in 2017, while the fourth was hosted by the Faculty of Administration and Social Sciences at the Warsaw University of Technology in 2018. The fifth instance took place at the Maria Curie-Skłodowska University in Lublin in 2019, while the sixth conference was hosted by the Pontifical University of John Paul II, Cracow

Our conference series is an attempt to consolidate various Polish and international research groups and scientific communities, which are interested in the philosophical debates concerning the Informatics (including: Computer Science), as well as assists in the development of the Philosophy of Informatics, with a particular focus on not only the theoretical and technological but also psychological and social aspects of the discipline. We hope that by inviting researchers from a variety of scientific disciplines dealing with the concepts of information and computing, such as philosophy (particularly logic, ontology and the theory of knowledge), information technology, computer science, physics, information science, psychology and sociology, we contribute to the further development of interdisciplinary research on information and information processing.
